December 16, 2011

The hours of darkness grow, day by day, until it seems we have hardly begun our day when the sun begins its descent below the horizon. We say there are not enough hours to complete our tasks and we feel the lethargy that sets in when we do not receive enough of the sun’s rays to revive and energize us. Like hibernating creatures, we sleep more in an effort to assuage the exhaustion of dealing with less sun (and perhaps more snow). We can benefit from shifting our awareness from the outer darkness to the growing internal brightness. The light that lives in our hearts leaps with a growing expectancy of the miraculous inching its way towards us. Namaste!
