We have been discussing spirit, but what is the nature of spirit? What do we mean when we reference the spirit? It is the essence of who we are, and it remains who we are whether we are spirit within a physical body or not. Now, there are many spiritual planes and dimensions, just as there are many physical planes across the universe, but the being that is spirit remains the same on and within all of these. The essence that is you is a spirit that always has and always will exist. It is indestructible and over space and time (in reality, here and now) it maintains strong relationships with other spirits. How can you discern the nature of your spirit? How can you acknowledge your existence as spirit in a physical form? Look at the sunrise . . . do you feel the quickening in your core? It is your spirit reaching towards the miracle of another day, a new day to learn and grow in this physical-plane school. Listen to a soaring piece of music, look at a piece of art that captures your eyes and does not let go, read words that resonate within your heart . . .  in the space where the energy of expression and the energy of perception meet is where the spirit dwells when in the body. And, when you happen upon another spirit with which your spirit is familiar, there is a recognition of knowing. When we are able to acknowledge the spirit in another, we do so with an awareness signified by that same subtle creative love-based energy.  Namaste!
