June 30, 2011

In the stillness of the morning, when the earth where you are balances between night’s darkness and day’s light, step outside, stand soft yet strong, and raise your arms and your face to the dawning sun in welcome and gratitude. As the first rays of the day begin to wash over your face, feel yourself being bathed in the light of the Creative Spirit and know that this light is awakening upon every creature, animate and inanimate, incarnate and discarnate, bonding the All into One. Take a deep full breath and be aware of yourself in the light as it connects you to everything else within the interdependent web that expands throughout the universe. Know and accept the energy of love that flows towards you, through you, and from you. Namaste!

When we are incarnate, it seems that often the same force that confines our spirit in the physical, also has the potential to confine our thoughts and actions in that which is commonly referred to as “the box.” When we decide that society’s norm must be our own in order to conform and thus be accepted, we often find ourselves shelving our dreams, ideas, aspirations, and creative voice in favor of “fitting in.” Actually, we thus are fitting into (or cramming ourselves into) a box that confines our spirit, which is, after all, here to enjoy the widest experience possible by exploring that area outside of this confining box. Thus do we discover and determine our spirit’s intended path. When we begin to “think outside of the box,” we set our spirit free to discern its true path in the interdependent web. Namaste!

When we talk of spirit, we often envision ethereal beings wafting through our environment on their way to lofty enterprises and experiences. In truth, spirit exists no differently than we do with the one exception that they no longer have physical form. This does not mean they have no form. Theirs is simply vibrating at a higher rate and thus they become, primarily, invisible to our physical eyes, just like there are colors and sounds that vibrate at frequencies too high (or low) for us to see and hear. When we see and hear through the heart, though, spirit becomes readily apparent. Namaste!

There is something wonderfully magical about June. As the sun reaches its zenith in the northern hemisphere, the world seems to sparkle with a vibrancy that emanates from the potential of spring actualizing into the lush and verdant forms of summer. All things are imbued with a bright light of growth and if we take a good look at ourselves, we find that we, too, have a potential to grow in the light of the sun. As we bask in the sun’s rays (safely, of course), we absorb the light that has traveled through space. This light is not only that which we see with our physical eyes, but is layered within the light that emanates from the Creative Source, a light which we see with the eyes of our heart. The light of summer reminds us of the spiritual light that fills us with the creative energy of love. Namaste!

Love is not simply an emotion. It is an energy that has the potential to heal, to create, and to transform. With this energy, all things are possible and all manner of transformation is possible. Love does not judge nor does it discriminate by action or deed. When we utilize the energy of love in our lives, we are living in a manner that allows us to reach our fullest potential. It is said that in the beginning there was the word and the word was good. The first word that was uttered by the Creative Force in the act of creation was” love,” because it was this word that brought the All into being. It was the utterance of that one word that breathed everything into existence. We are formed in and by the energy of love, which sustains and informs our lives on whatever plane of existence we find ourselves. Namaste!

The energy that fills and animates us also permeates every person and thing around us. This energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but has existed forever and will exist forever. The energy, however, has the ability to move from one form to another. A seed in the earth fills with the energy of potential, pushes its way through the soil, grows, blooms via the energy of actualization, and then begins to release this energy as it reaches its fullness. The energy then becomes available to another form to pursue its own actualization. The energy that activated the flower then becomes available to a tree, or a cat, or us. The energy is the same, the form changes. We are all informed and sustained, in potential or actualized form, via this energy, which is the energy of love. Namaste!
