When life becomes too apparently difficult to meet the constant demands of the world, we need to remember that much can be gained by sitting quietly and allowing peace to fill us through meditation. In the act of releasing expectations for the moments we sit in the gap between thoughts, we can also release the stress and discomfort that builds in us that stymies our comfortable progress as we move through life. When we allow ourselves to focus on the simple and yet necessary act of breathing, we put aside all thoughts and emotions that serve to mire us in runaway monkey mind, and instead become focused on the reality of our reality. When we sit quietly in meditation, we become aware of our place in the interdependent web, and give thanks! Namaste!
