Too often we half hear the sounds around us, believing we have heard correctly when in fact we have not ascertained the intended meaning. The margin for error in truly hearing is great and thus, too, is the margin for error not only in understanding but in reacting to the limited information we have perceived. Should we be following the directions given to us without examining them closely? Are we being led down a questionable path because we are not correctly hearing the words and meanings of friends or government leaders? Are we mistakenly jumping to the wrong conclusion because we simply are not listening closely enough to the information we are being given? When we listen with the ears of the heart, we can hear the truth behind any utterance, and give thanks. Namaste!
