We spend approximately 1/3 of our lives sleeping. Sleep allows our bodies to rest and rejuvenate. Sleep also gives us a chance to work through problems, discern messages from spirit, and even remember past lives in the peace and quiet of the sleep state. Because of the almost constant distractions of the waking state, sleep gives us the chance to hear more clearly messages from within and outside of our selves. When we have a question or problem that needs addressing, we can ask it or write it down before we fall asleep. Upon awaking we may find that the answer is the first thing that comes to mind. While our bodies rest, we receive messages that inform and sustain us within the interdependent web. Namaste!
