August 30, 2011

When we listen to the wind, we hear the lessons of nature expressed in a focused and measured manner. Just as the trees and reeds bend and bow in the rush of air as it passes by, we, too, should acknowledge with respect the ways in which the wind affects our lives. The light breeze in summer cools us and reminds us of the halcyon days of childhood. The wind rustling the autumn leaves reminds us of the circle of the year. The gale force wind of blizzards and hurricanes reminds us that there is a power greater than ourselves with the ability to change our lives for a day or forever. When we listen with respect to the wind, we are reminded that it too is an expression of the Creative Spirit. Namaste!
