We live in a world of noise and the dissonant sounds of discord. Our intent is often misheard because of the cacophony that often permeates the atmosphere. Even when we are consciously unaware of this noise, there is a net of conflicting energies that confuses and confounds our words as we try to communicate with another person. There is now an air of anger and angst that stabs at the heart of civility. When we practice sitting in meditation, we quiet the sounds within and can send that quiet into the world around us. In so doing, we can diminish the noise of negativity and instead send positive intent outward to quiet the restless and fear-driven din. Be still and know you can be the “change you wish to see in the world.” Namaste!
