When we begin the often arduous task of clearing the excess from our lives, we can encounter overwhelming feelings of sorrow and despair. The more we disperse the ideas and objects that are no longer useful in our lives, the more pronounced our grief can become. In such moments, we can abandon our spring cleaning, deciding it is in our best interests to cling to the comfort of the past. It is then that we need to become still and mindful and quiet the mind that tells us these things are important and, instead, turn to the sound of the inner voice that resonates from our spirit and be reminded of why we are here and how the space we are creating can better be filled with new ideas and things that can serve to help our progress in this life. When we create space in our lives, joy and bliss can flow in, filling us with renewed hope and direction. Namaste!
